Anderson High School’s Chapter of the National Art Honor Society will be holding a FREE workshop (donations accepted) about multicultural identity to promote young artists to explore their own skills and the world in which they live, open to current Murchison art students.

Within each workshop, students will be using different mediums and techniques for their projects. We will explore cultures of Africa, Eurasia, and Central/South America. Each culture will have its own corresponding activity. Our goal is for the students to walk away with more knowledge of diverse cultures, new interesting techniques, and having a feel of our Anderson Art Department community!

All students will meet in portable G2 (located in the teacher’s parking lot) at 9:00 am then split into groups for each station/workshop rotation.

Dear Parent or Guardian,

Your child is invited to participate and attend a FREE art workshop provided by Anderson High School’s National Art Honor Society. This event, Artists Helping Artists, will be held Saturday, April 22nd, 2017 at Anderson High School. Murchison art students will be able to experience new techniques and mediums that can be used in a high school setting.

All students will meet in portable G2 (located in the teacher’s parking lot) at 9:00 am then split into groups for each station.

It will be a wonderful day of multicultural based workshops with the exploration of unique materials and skills! Our goal is for the students to walk away with more knowledge of diverse cultures, new interesting techniques, and having a feel of our Anderson Art Department community!

I understand that during this workshop, my child will be under the direction and general supervision of Anderson High School’s National Art Honor Society members and sponsors, and that my child is subject to discipline for his/her conduct during activities.
