2Preparation of Your Paper
2.1Structuring Your Paper
Affiliations.Theaffiliatedinstitutionsaretobelisteddirectlybelowthenamesofthe authors.MultipleaffiliationsshouldbemarkedwithsuperscriptArabicnumbers,and theyshouldeachstartonanewlineasshowninthisdocument.Inadditiontothename ofyouraffiliation,wewouldaskyoutogivethetownandthecountryinwhichitis situated.Ifyouprefertoincludetheentirepostaladdress,thenpleasefeelfreetodoso. E-mailaddressesshouldstartonanewlineandshouldbegroupedperaffiliation.
Headings.Headingsshouldbecapitalized(i.e.,nouns,verbs,andallotherwords exceptarticles,prepositions,andconjunctionsshouldbesetwithaninitialcapital) andshould,withtheexceptionofthetitle,bealignedtotheleft.Onlythefirsttwo levelsofsectionheadingsshouldbenumbered,asshowninTable1.Therespective fontsizesarealsogiveninTable1.Kindlyrefrainfromusing“0”whennumbering your section headings.

2.2Length of Papers
Weonlywishtopublishpapersofsignificantscientificcontent.Veryshortpapers (offewerthanfourpages)willnotbemadeavailableforindexingandwillnotbe visible as individualpapers on SpringerLink.
2.3PageNumberingandRunningHeads
Thereisnoneedtoincludepagenumbersorrunningheads;thiswillbedoneatour end.Ifyourpapertitleistoolongtoserveasarunninghead,itwillbeshortened. Your suggestionas to how to shorten it would be most welcome.
2.4Figures and Tables
Itisessentialthatallillustrationsareclearandlegible.Vectorgraphics(ratherthan rasterizedimages)shouldbeusedfordiagramsandschemaswheneverpossible. Pleasecheckthatthelinesinlinedrawingsarenotinterruptedandhaveaconstant width.Gridsanddetailswithinthefiguresmustbeclearlylegibleandmaynotbe writtenoneontopoftheother.Linedrawingsaretohavearesolutionofatleast800 dpi(preferably1200dpi).Theletteringinfiguresshouldnotusefontsizes

smallerthan6 pt(~2mmcharacterheight).Figuresaretobenumberedandtohavea captionwhichshouldalwaysbepositionedunderthefigures,incontrasttothecaption belonging to a table, which should always appearabove thetable.
Captionsaresetin9-pointtype.Iftheyareshort,theyarecenteredbetweenthe margins.Longercaptions,coveringmorethanoneline,arejustified(Fig.1andFig.2 show examples). Captions thatdo not constitute afull sentence,do nothave a period.
Textfragmentsoffewerthanfourlinesshouldnotappearatthetopsorbottomsof pages,followingatableorfigure.Insuchcases,itisbettertosetthefiguresrightat the top or rightat the bottom of the page.
Ifscreenshotsarenecessary,pleasemakesurethattheessentialcontentisclearto the reader.
Remark1.Intheprintedvolumes,illustrationsaregenerallyblackandwhite(half- tones),andonlyinexceptionalcases,andiftheauthorortheconferenceorganization ispreparedtocovertheextracostsinvolved,arecoloredpicturesaccepted.Colored picturesarewelcomeintheelectronicversionfreeofcharge.Ifyousendcolored figuresthataretobeprintedinblackandwhite,pleasemakesurethattheyreallyare alsolegibleinblackandwhite.Somecolorsshowupverypoorlywhenprintedin black and white.
2.5Formulas
Displayedequationsorformulasarecenteredandsetonaseparateline(withanextra lineorhalflinespaceaboveandbelow).Displayedexpressionsshouldbenumbered forreference.Thenumbersshouldbeconsecutivewithinthecontribution,withnum- bersenclosedinparenthesesandset onthe rightmargin.Pleasedo notincludesection counters inthe numbering.

Equationsshouldbepunctuatedinthesamewayasordinarytextbutwithasmall space before the end punctuation mark.
2.6Footnotes

Forcitationsinthetext,pleaseusesquarebracketsandconsecutivenumbers.We wouldwrite[1,2,3,4,5]forconsecutivenumbersand[1],[3],[5]fornon-consecutive numbers. The numbers inthe bibliography section are withoutsquare brackets.

4Typesetting of Your Paper at Springer
Pleasemakesurethatthepaperyousubmitisfinalandcomplete,thatanycopyright issues have been resolved, that the authors listed at the top of the chapter really are the finalauthors,andthatyouhavenotomittedanyreferences.Followingpublication,it isnotpossibletoalterorwithdrawyourpaperonSpringerLink.Kindlynotethatwe prefer the use of American English.
4.1What Will BeDone withYour Paper
Iftheinstructionshavebeenfollowedclosely,thenonlyveryminoralterationswillbe madetoyourpaper.TheproductionteamatSPScheckstheformatofthepaper,andif, forexample,verticalspacinghasbeeninsertedorremoved,thenthisisremedied.In addition,running-heads,finalpagenumbers,andacopyrightlineareinserted,andthe capitalizationoftheheadingsischeckedandcorrectedifneedbe.Finally,therefer- encesectionisattunedtoourspecifications(seealsoSection2.7).Lighttechnical copyeditingmayalsobeperformedforpost-proceedings.
4.2ProofReading Stage
Oncethefileshavebeenworkedupon,SPSsendsacopyofthefinalPDFofeach papertoitscontactauthor.ThecontactauthorisaskedtocheckthroughthefinalPDFtomakesurethatnoerrorshavecreptinduringthetransferorpreparationofthefiles. Thisshouldnotbeseenasanopportunitytoupdateorcopyeditthepaper,whichis notpossibleduetotimeconstraints.Onlyerrorsintroducedduringthepreparationof the fileswill be corrected. Particular attentionshould be paidto thereferences section.
IfSPSdoesnotreceiveareplyfromaparticularcontactauthor,withinthe timeframegiven(usually72hours),thenitispresumedthattheauthorhasfoundno errorsinthepaper.Thetightpublicationscheduleofourproceedingsseriesdoesnot allow SPS tosend remindersor search for alternative e-mail addresses on the Internet.
Insomecases,itisthecontactvolumeeditororthepublicationchairwhochecks all of the PDFs. In suchcases, the authors are not involved inthe checkingphase.
