Please answer the following questions in detail using COMPLETE SENTENCES. Use drawings to help you explain. Don’t guess. Look through your notes, station rotation packets, and the book to find the answers.
13. Describe how we get from a single fertilized egg to a baby in around 9 months. Be detailed and use the vocabulary. (Human Development PowerPoint Notes)
14. Create a sentence or two using the following terms that explains how they arerelated(related does not mean the same).

15. You decided to take a shortcut home through the local coal power plant. To your horror you became stuck in a crawlspace beneath the gigantic, extremely hot furnace. It has been 4 days and no one has heard your cry for help. To make matters worse you have no food or water and you cut your leg trying to wiggle free.
Describe what your body is doing to help maintain homeostasis in such a terrible situation. Consider all of the problems that are affecting your body. Use the names of the different organ systems involved and explain in detail how they would respond. (Hint: You can research on the internet to learn more about what your body does without food or water or the other problems your body faces.) (Levels of Organization PowerPoint Notes and Book pgs. 466 – 471)
16. How does the menstrual cycle prepare a woman’s body for reproduction? (Go from the start of puberty all the way to fertilization. Use the terms, “hormones”, “ovaries”, “ovulation”, and “uterus” when answering this question.)(Menstruation and Reproduction PowerPoint Notes, and Journal)
17. Name all 11 organ systems and explain how each one works with another system. You should have at least 6 different descriptions of how they work together, covering all 11 systems. Example: The cardiovascular system pumps blood to the lungs of the respiratory system exchanging CO2 to be exhaled for O2 to be delivered to the cells of the body. This covers the cardiovascular and the respiratory systems. Systems can be repeated only 2 times. (Levels of Organization Notes, Journal, and Book Chap. 15 Section 1 pgs. 466 – 471)
