Request for Expression of Interest for Survey and Studies for the Project
The Government of Rajasthan has received an advance from the International Development Association towards the preparation of Rajasthan Rural Livelihood Project and intends to apply part of the advance proceeds to make payments under the contract for the following Survey and Studies.
S.No / Name of Study / Scope1 / Baseline survey / To collect, document and analyze a baseline data from beneficiary and control group villages using scientifically recognized methods. This shall cover both macro and micro level assessment of the resource base, social economic status, institutional arrangements and service delivery situations.
2 / Social Assessment Study / Analyze social economic and political dimensions of social exclusion including gender discrimination, Tribal Development including Strategies of Participation to ensure inclusion, accountability & to deliver results to the marginalized communities.
3 / Environmental Assessment Study / Undertake an environment assessment of the project with a focus on natural resources management-livelihoods linkage and develop a simple and practical environment management framework that will specify a set of guidelines, training, monitoring and institutional arrangements which shall be used by the project to address the potential environmental risks of the community-based investments.
The State Project Management Unit invites eligible Agencies/Institutes to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested Agencies/Institutes must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (Brochures, description of similar assignments, experiences in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staffs, turnover for last 3 financial years and a self signed certificate stating that they have not been black listed by any Government Department). The assignment is expected to complete by 30 April 2010.
The Agencies/Institutes will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank's guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (current edition)
