We would acquirenetwork and service monitoring solution for our infrastructure. The detail requirements arelisted below.

System Requirement

  1. Support SNMP v1, v2 and v3
  2. Support schedule auto-discovery with device information (IP, Hostname, Hardware Model, Software Version)
  3. Support device grouping by user defined criteria (IP, Interface Description etc.)
  4. Support network traffic map as dashboard (with device interface usage)
  5. Support generate inventory list report with device information (IP, Hostname, Hardware Model, Software Version)
  6. Support OS / hardware / interface utilization and availability monitor and alert
  7. Support configurable Server / Device for selective interface Up/Down alert
  8. Support distribute polling engine to load balance system and network resource
  9. Support High Availability for both system database(if applicate) and system
  10. Support user access control with integration with MS AD
  11. Support monitoring custom OID attributes via SNMP
  12. Support the vendor at least include H3C, Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, Microsoft Windows, Redhat
  13. Support receiving SNMP Trap from network devices
  14. Support receivingsyslogmessages from network devices
  15. Proposed solution should be designed to support monitor at least 10,000 monitor elements (3500 network devices with 2 uplink interface, 100 servers and applications)

Implementation Service Requirement (if requested)

  1. Configure at least 4 Windows server for monitoring system
  2. Install and configuremonitoring system with latest patch, module and component
  3. Install and configure MS SQL server with latest patch for monitoring system
  4. Implementhigh availability of the MS SQL servers running in parallel, such that if one instance failed, transactions can be directed to another without service suspension.
  5. Implementand configureat least 30 network device and serverfrom differentvendor and device model to monitor
  6. Implementand configureat least 15 differentserviceto monitor and should include the following item:
  7. Monitor the Reachability and Availability of Windows File Share (Read/Write)
  8. Monitor the Reachability and Availability of MS SQL database (Read/Write)
  9. Monitor the Reachability and Availability of MySQL database (Read/Write)
  10. Monitor a specific Windows Service Status
  11. Create at least 1 network map for core network including core network devices and servers
  12. Configureuser access control and integrate with Microsoft Active Directory
  13. Configure at least 5 user group for different team with different access right
  14. Configure user login using MS AD account
  15. Configureat least 10 email alert (service up/down, utilization) to different group of user for different group of device
  16. Customize at least 2 dashboard views for network admin and server admin
  17. Customize at least 1 reportwith latest device information which can beemailedto network adminmonthly
  18. Trouble-shootingsupport and configured devices and service to meet monitoring system requirements should be included in the implementation service
  19. Performance testing and fine-tuning for the configuration listed above
  20. Half-day operational knowledge transfer to our user about daily operation, data export etc.

Documentation Requirement

The documentation should include the following information

  1. System design diagram showing network connection between systems, poller engine, database and any custom middleware/interfaces that may be required.
  2. List of the minimum and recommended hardware and software requirements for the proposed solution. This should include server, end point devices and additional supporting peripheral requirements.
  3. System implementation and operation guide
  4. System configuration and databack-up and restore plan and procedures in detail steps.

Support Level Requirement

  1. Provide 8 hours per day and 5 days per week on-site technical support
  2. 2 Hours (or less) response time with telephone
  3. Phone and email vendor support as required

Quotation Requirement

  1. Hardware and software compatibility and minimum requirement should be specified
  2. Provide a project plan with system design diagram showing network connection between systems, poller engine, database and any custom middleware/interfaces that may be required.
  3. Provide documentation about reference cases (if any).
  4. The quotation should include the price for the following items:
  1. License for monitor unlimited no. of device and interface(Please specify the license period if applicable)
  2. License for monitor 150 Service / Application (Please specify the license period if applicable)
  3. License for additional polling engine for monitor unlimited no. of device and interface with standard polling throughput(Please specify the license period if applicable)
  4. Windows server and/or Software license required to complete the solution (Please specify the license if applicable)
  5. Other hardware, software license used (Please specify the license if applicable)
  6. Database server with high availability (Please specify license and implementation chargeif applicable)
  7. Implementation, documentation and skill-transfer chargeof the Network & Service Monitoring Solution
  8. 1 year technical support for 8 x 5with 2 hours response time
  9. Ongoing support and license annual renewal cost for reference
