Business Arising
T Le Lievre will be on LSL from the start of 2011, but relinquishes the position. The Principal position will be advertised as a permanent position to start Jan. 2011.
T Le Lievre is having LSL from 21 – 25/6/10. He is taking sick leave from the 9/8 – 17/9/2010 to have a foot operation.
The reverse cycle airconditioner has been fitted in the Art / Tech. Room. Cost of $2530 plus electrical wiring costs.
OH&S Support Visit – L Proctor visited to check progress. She was very pleased with work to date and has nominated the school for an award as we have progressed more than other schools in the Region. She will visit again in approx. one month to go through the remaining areas to be updated – First Aid, Purchasing etc.
Zoo Trip – June 10th 2010 – travel by Warragul Bus Lines and Jindivick Progress Bus. Bus and entry fees to be paid by VIBRA funds. A lesson at the Zoo for the students has been booked.
Playground - $7000 for supply of equipment with fitting to be done by school working bee. The walk area at the side of the middle classroom to be used for playground extended area. Treated pine equipment to be maintained and checked regularly. Hold Sunday working bee once equipment arrives, to check what is required.

General Business
Cleaning Contract: K Gourley is an Uni during week. D Gourley requested S Gourley take over part of cleaning contract. DEECD advised due to S Gourley being less than 4 years and 9 months, she would not be covered by Public Liability and cannot be employed. T Le Lievre will discuss with Gourleys.
Transition Meeting / LOTE – there is no LOTE program at NDSC presently. The SC have suggested we share a LOTE teacher with them, but this would be Japanese. Jindivick currently doing Spanish with R Nicholson very successfully. $40,000 funding may be available, but the funding may not be indefinite. Perhaps survey parents when more information is known.
Pupil Free Day – June 15th, for report writing, instead of the DEECD day, June 11th.

Transition Day at NDSC – T Le Lievre attended transition meeting. They will be holding another transition day in June for grades 5 & 6 with activities.
The Regional Office is keen for a larger Neerim area cluster. Rural School enrolments are declining and all schools need to work together.
MARC Interviews for position – T Le Lievre to attend on May 26th.
Instructional Rounds – T Le Lievre to attend these 27-28/5/10.
Correspondence
Drought funding of $4900 received. To be used for students for items such as excursions, consumables, and subsidising of extra-curricular activities.
NAPLAN – tests have been done.
Rawson Camp – June 1 – 3 2010. T Le Lievre going and a mother is needed to attend. J Baxter (Jindivick parents) has offered to attend.
Guitar Lessons – SC requested to approve guitar lessons @ school. D Burton has supplied WWC check. 20 minute lessons @ $15 per lesson.
