DIRECTIONS TO FIELDS FOR FREEPORT INTERNATIONAL 2018
Most teams will be staying at motels/hotels or host homes along the Route 28 corridor, so most directions will be given assuming you can get on that.
The front desk at the motel can get you on Route 28 and direct you to go north or south, depending on which field you are going to. Here are specific directions
Freeport Borough Field
Take Exit 16 or 17 off of Route 28 and follow signs into Freeport. As you cross Buffalo Creek, you can either go to the right and look for on street parking, or go left. If you go left, as you approach the car dealership you can make a hard right onto Second Street, turn left at the Freeport Monument Works and there is parking there, adjacent to the back end of the field.
Freeport Community Park Field (on hill above town)
Exit Route 28 from either Exit 16 or 17 and follow the signs into Freeport. Bare to the right as you cross the Freeport Veterans Bridge. You will then be on Second Street. Turn left on High Street. Continue on High Street, through the light, and up the hill, making a left turn at the sign for Freeport Park. As you enter the park keep to the left. The field will be on the right and there is parking close to the field and also across the street.
(18th Street Field, Valley Baseball/Softball Complex, formerly called Twin Cities)
Take Route 28 to Exit 14 Tarentum. Make a left or right, depending on whether you were going south or north on 28 and head up the hill. Go through the first light and down the hill. You will see the Tarentum Bridge ahead of you. Cross the bridge; there is construction, but traffic moves well except around 5 p.m. At the third light (Taco Bell on right, BP gas station on left), make a right turn up the hill. Pass Golden Dawn Grocery Store and continue on to second light – Drey Street. Turn right on Drey head down the hill, cross the railroad tracks and continue until it ends at a T intersection. Make a left turn, field is on your right. Make a right at the next stop sign (18th Street) and there is parking to the left of the concession stand and on the street below the parking lot.
Springdale High School Field
From 28 South:
Exit at Pittsburgh Mills exit, stay in left lane, at the light turn left stay in left lane go through next light and at stop sign make a left onto Tawney Run Rood, go up the hill till you come to a four way intersection. Make a right at the 4 way onto Butler Logan road go 1.1 miles, You will bear a left and the field is on the left hand side.
From 28 North:
Exit at Pittsburgh Mills exit 12A. At light make a right and get into left lane. At stop make a left onto Tawney Run Rood, go up the hill till you come to a four way intersection. Make a right at the 4 way onto Butler Logan road go 1.1 miles, You will bear a left and the field is on the left hand side.
Kittanning/Ford City
Go on Rt 28 North towards Kittanning and drive (5.9 miles)
Take exit on the left US-422 Butler/Kittanning ( 1.5 Miles)
Take the exit towards W Hills (.2 miles)
Turn Left onto Pleasant View Dr. T530 (1.2 miles)
Turn right onto State Rte 422 (203 ft)
Turn Left onto Heritage Park Dr (.2 Miles) You will be at the school

Take 28 North Take exit for 66 South Ford City, at first Stop light, go straight. At second Stop light, turn right (Sheetz Convenience Store). Take first road to the left, approximately 500 feet from stop light (Neale Avenue). Football Field is on your right after you pass several houses and water tower. Make right at stop sign. Baseball field is on the right.
