4Definition

Applicable collective employment agreement has the same meaning as it has in the Employment Relations Act 2000.

Identify the coverage of, and the parties to, an applicable collective employment agreement.

Evidence requirements

1.1Coverage of the agreement is identified.

Rangeincludes but is not limited to – geographical, type of work, exclusions.

1.2The application of the agreement to new employees is identified.

1.3The parties to the agreement are identified.

Outcome 2

Identify the primary provisions of the applicable collective employment agreement.

Evidence requirements

2.1Provisions for hours of work, work outside the agreed hours, pay,and general and special leave entitlements, are identified.

Rangeincludesfactors used to determine pay scales such as skills, responsibility, qualifications.

2.2Provisions for union rights are identified.

Rangeprovisions may include but are not limited to –union education leave, meetings, consultation and participation systems.
