Parent Information

Parents,

Since we were getting back into the swing of things, we did not have spelling or a blog last week. However, this week, we will resume normal homework assignments. Please note that students should also be doing one Test Ready practice per week.

This week, we continued our focus on Native Americans and how they used the resources around them to survive. Along with this idea that people use the resources in their region to survive, we asked, “Why would people live near a river?” Water is an important resource. Many of choices revolve around what we need to survive. In P.E. we started our introduction to Hip Hop. Ask your child to show you their new moves!

Reading Homework: Students should still work on ONE test on Ready Test in RAZ Kids. This will take the place of reading for 20 minutes. Students have been exposed to this test in class, so that students are comfortable with the tests and how to log on to the program.

Cole Canyon Attendance for 2017-2018: If you have not filled out and returned the green slip letting us know if your child is returning, please make sure to send it in.

OM Fundraisers: Mrs. Waller’s OM team won first place. They are on their way to World’s competition. Please keep an eye out for various

Testing: We are scheduled to take our State Tests on May 8th, 9th, and 15th-25th. Please try not to make appointments or vacations during this time. Testing will be finished by 12:00 each day. The afternoons are a better time for appointments. Please note that there may be changes to our schedule based on scheduling needs that may arise. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Have a great week,

Mrs. Hewitson
