The requirements for admission in good standing for incoming freshman are:

Minimum of a2.5cumulative grade point average on a 4.00 scale.

Minimum SAT combined score of1020(Math and Critical Reading sections only) or an ACT

composite score of22.

Students who fall below one or more of these specific criteria can still be admitted on a

conditional basis and are encouraged to apply.

***Bluegrass Community and Technical College--

***Eastern Kentucky University--

The scholastic requirements for full admission* are:

-2.5 grade point average (GPA), or

-20 composite ACT or950 SAT math and verbal combined score.

*All students must have a minimum high school GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale and are expected to meet the college readiness standards in English, Reading and Math or enroll in courses as directed at the time of registration.Students who do not meet the requirement for full admission may seek enrollment through aSuccess Firstinitiative .

***Morehead State University--

  • Submit an Undergraduate Admissions/Scholarship Application
  • Submit a copy of your ACT or SAT score. Minimum ACT score of 18 or SAT of 870 to be admitted unconditionally.
  • Submit a copy of your OFFICIAL high school transcripts (must be signed and sealed from your school)
  • Have an Admission Index of 450 to be admitted unconditionally. (Does not apply for Transfer Students)
  • To calculate your Admissions Index, multiply your High School GPA by 100 and ACT score by 10, and add the two scores together
  • Example, using GPA of 3.2 and ACT score of 21

3.2 (GPA) x 100 = 320

21 (ACT) x 10 = 210

Admission Index = 530

  • If your Admission Index falls between 400 and 449, you may be admitted provisionally to MSU

***Spencerian College--

There is no deadline for submitting the enrollment agreement. However, some of our programs have limited space and/or have a selective admissions process. Therefore, it is best to complete your enrollment agreement as early as possible to be considered before the date you anticipate starting your enrollment.

The collegeconducts individual interviews and advises each person seeking admission.

***Sullivan University--

There is no deadline for submitting an application for admission. The university has a rolling admissions policy and those who apply first are accepted first. Therefore, it is best for prospective students to submit an application as early as possible, regardless of what academic quarter they wish to start in. New classes begin in January, March, June and September of each year.

Applicant Interview:The university individually interviews and advises each person seeking admission. This interview often takes place on campus. Interviews can also be conducted in the student’s home or a virtual interview can be scheduled and conducted via telephone and computer.

***Universtiy of the Cumberlands—

UC’s application requirements are a complete application, as application fee of $30, an official

transcript with GPA and an ACT or SAT score. The Acceptance and Scholarship Committee

reviews each applicant individually.

***University of Kentucky---

New dates and requirements:

SELECTIVE ADMISSION – The University of Kentucky has a selective

admission policy. A faculty committee of the University Senate establishes

the academic criteria. A holistic review is based on factors including

cumulative high school grade-point average, completion of the pre-college

curriculum, ACT or SAT I score results, essay, special talents and abilities

and academic letter of recommendation. Applicants are offered admission

on a competitive basis, with those meeting the University’s selective

admission criteria receiving first offers.

  • December 1 is the new deadline for competitive scholarships, academic scholarships, competitive diversity scholarships, the Honors Program, and early action admissions
  • The early action track to apply for housing and living learning programs has a deadline of February 15.
  • There is a new enrollment deposit and housing deposit that will be due by May 1.

***University of Louisville—

  1. Complete theApplication for Undergraduate Admission.
  2. Pay the application fee of $50 (non-refundable).
  3. Submit test scores: eitherACT(American College Test) test scores orSAT(Educational Testing Service) test scores may be submitted. Test results may be submitted from the testing agency or may appear on the official high school transcript.
  4. Submit your official transcript(s).Currently enrolled high school applicants must submit official transcripts reflecting at least six semesters of high school work. GED applicants should submit an official copy of their GED scores.
  5. Have your guidance counselor submit the high school counselor verification form:*The high school verification formis not required.It is recommended for students applying to the JB Speed School of Engineering so we can see courses in progress if they are not presented on transcript and also as an easy way for high school's to verify free and reduced lunch when applicable.*Note: applicants to the School of Music must also pass an audition. Admission to the School of Nursing is a two-step process with the new freshmen being admitted to the lower-level division and then re-applying to the upper-division as a junior.
