Title : Fundraising & New Business Executive , Internship, Angel, London

Start Date: 28th October 2013

Terms: 12 weeks 4 days per week.

Conditions: Paid internship £200 per week.

Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity is a national children’s charity raising funds to improve the lives of sick children and their families in hospitals and hospices throughout the country.

Our internship scheme offers a fantastic opportunity to get involved with a national children’s charity with a fantastic brand identity, award winning characters Wallace & Gromit!

Goals of the Internship:

1. Fundraising Events : Assisting in the marketing and promotion of new National event Wallace & Gromit’s BIG Bake. Create and implement strategy to engage universities in the event . Attend fundraising and PR events.

2. New Business: Working with Head of Fundraising on strategy and approaches tonew corporate partners for charity of the year , challenge events and sponsorship.

The Role :

  1. Fundraising & Events:
  • Assist in the marketing and management of our new national event Wallace & Gromit’s BIG Bake . Please note you must be available for a BIG bake event 8th -10th November.
  • Market the BIG Bake event to Universities
  • Work with Head of Fundraisingto identify possible partners, create sponsorship proposal and approach sponsors for our 2014 Wrong Trousers Day.

2. New Business :

  • Identify new opportunities to engage existing supporters as charity of the year and in our challenge events. Account manage this process.
  • Working with Corporate partner on the management and sponsorship of summer 2014 Golf Day in Wiltshire.
  • Promote, market and maximize sales of our Wallace & Gromit Christmas merchandise in partnership with national corporate partner.
  • Approach and manage our charity awards programme. Attend charity awards events .

•Ability to work well under the pressure of tight deadlines

•Strong excel and Microsoft word skills

•Preferably educated to degree level , but not essential
