Microsoft Systems Specialist

Job Profile & Responsibilities

As a Microsoft Systems Implementation Specialist you will be responsible for theMicrosoft deployments that are delivered to our customers, ensuring that these deployments meet service levels and are implemented to best practice standards. You will need good MS Windows Server / SQL server skills as well as a sound knowledge of General IT Infrastructure.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Standardise deployments where possible
  • Ensure backup processes meet RPO /RTO and implement rigorous testing routines to prove it
  • Optimise MS Server side components
  • Trouble shoot service outages in and out of hours
  • Implement monitoring for all core components and error trapping
  • Perform performance monitoring and define / enhance health check processes
  • Collaborate with development around Tuning and optimisation
  • Have expertise in using and understanding SQL profiler traces
  • MS Windows Server implementation / troubleshooting
  • Assisting in pre-sales / architecting solutions to appropriately size a system relevant to a customer requirement
