DJO, LLC Receives 2010 Manufacturing Excellence Award from the
Association for Manufacturing Excellence
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. – November 18, 2010 – The Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) is pleased to announceDJO, LLC as a 2010 recipient of its Manufacturing Excellence Award.
The Vista, Calif.-based company, a global provider of high-quality medical devices, including orthopedic devices, is one of six to receive the award signifying high levels of excellence achieved and sustained during the past year. All award recipients recognized by AME have maintained global competitiveness throughout unstable economic conditions and continue to position the organization as a leader during the economy’s recovery phase.
DJO’s Vista plant manufactures devices used for injury prevention, rehabilitation and bone regeneration. On the Lean Journey since 2000, the company employs approximately 4,600 people worldwide and provides its products in 80 countries. In 2009, DJO posted revenues of over $946 million.
