The Diversity Regional Enhancement in Stem Scholarship (D.R.E.S.S.) was created in 2015 with the purpose of providing financial support for undergraduate Hispanic/African-American students pursuing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) degrees. This scholarship is a one-time award of $1,000 and will be given to one recipient. In order to be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a high school graduating senior in the Arlington, Grand Prairie, Mansfield, Dallas, or Fort Worth Independent School Districts
- Must enroll in a four year college or university in the Fall of 2015 as a full-time student
- Must be Hispanic/African-American
- Must show interest in pursuing a STEM degree
- Must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale

- Acceptance letter from university/college that applicant will attend in the Fall of 2015
Distribution of Award:
Scholarship recipient must provide proof of full-time enrollment at a 4 year college/university. Once this is received, scholarship funds will be deposited with the university/college to be used for college tuition and fees.
