  • Ensure the Diversity policy and related policies are supported and accessible to all employees.
  • Respond to allegations and complaints in a responsible manner, which includes gathering all relevant data, reviewing results, making recommendations and following up to ensure they are acted upon.

It is the responsibility of supervisors and managers to:

  • Create and maintain a workplace free from discrimination.
  • Intervene when discrimination situations arise.
  • Communicate the company’s objective to establish a workplace free from discrimination.
  • Demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Diversity policy and not condone behaviour that is contrary to the policy.
  • Take all complaints seriously, discussing the situation with the respondent, and seeking advice and support from the executive team / ownership team> to implement measures that will eliminate future occurrences of the situation.
  • Implement changes to employment systems, removal of barriers and other related actions as appropriate.

It is the responsibility of all employees to:

  • Report areas where they feel there may be barriers to equal opportunities.
  • Notify their supervisor or manager of their need for any employment-related accommodations.
  • Report instances where they believe they have been discriminated against and/or harassed to their supervisor, their supervisor’s manager, or one of the policy owners, such as a member of the <executive team / ownership team>.Employees are encouraged to seek resolution for their complaint within their respective department first.

Protection from Retaliation

Company Namewill not tolerate retaliation, taunts or threats against anyone who makes a complaint about discrimination, or against anyone who takes part in an investigation. Any person who taunts, retaliates against or threatens anyone in relation to a harassment or discrimination complaint may be disciplined up to and including termination of employment.

Failure to comply with this policy may result disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
