HISTORY OF ART AND VISUAL CULTURE

All HAVC students are invited to apply to the Patricia and Rowland Rebele Grants in the History of Art and Visual Culture. Grants can be used to offset financial need, as well as to support research, travel, and other disciplinary-related projects. Depending upon the number of applicants, awards will range from $200 to $1,000. Recipients of Porter College fellowships are also eligible to apply, either to augment the funds they have already received or for a new project.

This completed form is due in the History of Art & Visual Culture Dept. Office, Porter D-201, no later than Friday, May 13th, by 4PM. Late applications will not be considered.

methodology, planned activities, and justification of consideration.

Application Guidelines:

• Complete all items on this application form, your project description, and your budget summary. Submit these application materials to the History of Art & Visual Culture Department office (Porter D-201) by Friday, May 13th, by 4PM.

• Provide your faculty sponsor with Endorsement form to complete. Faculty sponsors will submit their endorsement and letter directly to the department no later than Friday, May 13th, by 4pm.

Notification on the disposition of your application will be emailed to the email address that

appears on the front of this application with a copy to your faculty sponsor.

Suggestions for what you can do with this Grant:

Offset the cost of participating in an international/national exchange program

Travel to research sites, museums, archives, etc.

Organize a scholarly event, exhibit, symposium, guest speaker, or publication.

Attend a conference or academic gathering

Purchase equipment essential to your research.

Offset the cost of visiting schools where you might apply for graduate school

Support students with specific financial need
