Purpose / Objective

Keep Reducing Work Comp Injuries to Reduce Our Work Comp Insurance

X-Mod Factor

·  Garth shared a chart reflecting LMUSD’s Safety Performance compared to the other school districts in SIPE. Garth explained the ”X-Mod Factor” is based on the district’s previous 3 years experience of work comp claims. If we can continue to reduce our work comp injuries this year we have a potential to reduce our premium by $232,954.

We could see further savings of $400,000 - $500,000 to the General Fund in the following year (2014 -2015) if we stay on this track of reducing our work comp injuries.

·  Safety Incentive Program - Online Safety Quiz from SIPE

(203) Quizzes were completed in October. Miners gift cards were sent out to the (27) winners for this month.
