Planning Process

The planning process began in October 2014 due to a change in administration. The first step was to select members for a planning committee. School principals began the process with the addition of parents, teachers, students, community members, business leaders and educational consultants from the Tuscarora Intermediate Unit.

The committee met at various times throughout the fall of 2014. During the first meeting, committee members reviewed the mission and vision statements. Goals, strategies and activities were identified.

The plan was presented to the JCSD School Board for review and approval during the fall of 2014. It was also uploaded to the district website, www.jcsdk12.org for review.

·  Administrators

Provide brief explanation of LEA's process for incorporating selected strategies.

Teachers with a non-tenured status receive bi-annual formal classroom evaluations from the building administrator using the Danielson Model. All teachers receive an annual evaluation which may consist of a formal evaluation based upon the Danielson Model or a Differentiated Supervision Model. Walk-throughs targeted on instruction are performed on a regular basis.
