Distance Learning Consortium (DLC) Membership 2015-2016

The Region One Distance Learning Consortium will focus the effective utilization of live video/virtualconferencing as a means to enhance curriculum, increase collaboration and enliven learning for students, teachers and other district stakeholders, including administrators, parents and community members.

District: September 1, 2015-August 31, 2016

Place and X in the box of any and all Service Tables which are used to determine fees due.

Membership per enduser unit (CODEC):

Service Table A: Enduser (per CODEC) with Professional and Student Content Support
1-10 units / $700 per CODEC unit
11-20 units / $650 per CODEC unit
21+ units / $600 per CODEC unit

Technical Support for MCUs Included in Service Table B

Support is limited to the MCU connection. All hardware maintenance/support of endpoints behind the external MCU are the responsibility of the consortium member.

All testing with final endpoints behind MCU is the responsibility of the consortium member with minimal support from the ESC.

  • Recording and Storage***upon request with 72 hour notice
  • Storage and Streaming ***of recording for 45 days

*** Recording and streaming will be governed by consent of the provider and or the AUP of the participants in the videoconference and exclude TETN or TETN+ events.

Region One ESC will now offer connection to video conferences via the web. This will allow more opportunities to view content, information orcreate interactive learning environments.

You may choose to use both Video Conferencing equipment and web connection for DL events.

Our Videoconferencing Request Form will reflect this new choice soon.

NEW for 2015-2016

Customized Contentprovided by the Center for eLearning:

$300 - $1200 per request dependent on content/focus/length of event.

Planning interactive, collaborative connections between classrooms, campuses or external content providers can greatly enhance the learning experience! Customized content will provide targeted connections to DL events/providers focusing with specific content for your classroom.

Formats will include, but are not limited to, webinars, recorded webinars, live collaboration, virtual field trips, and digital community building events.

Additional fees may be included dependent on pricing of associatedexternal events.

Timeline for delivery to be developed after meeting with VL contact and district/campus personnel involved.

Optional Services

Distance Learning Professional Development for Live Video Conferencing

  • Region One Distance Learning (DL) Workshops- $150 per person per day
  • Onsite DL Professional Development (user & instructional training) onsite $1200per day, $800 ½ day (maximum enrollment 20 participants)

Non-Consortium Service Rates

  • $150 per connection (weekdays 8 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) All Region One holidays are excluded.
  • TETN sessions
  • ESC meetings and workshops* originating at the Edinburg facility.
  • Connections to external providers
  • Multi-point events
  • $200 per ½ day will be assessed in ½ day increments for services after 5 p.m., weekdays or Saturdays

*Workshop fees will apply and the presenter must give permission for participant to attend via video.
