Kippis! A Literary Journal is published twice yearly, winter and summer. Subscription price for 2010 is $25.00 US in North America and €30.00 in Europe and the rest of the world. Subscriptions are available online at or by mail by sending your mailing address along with a check or money order made out to “FinNALA” to Beth Virtanen, Editor, FinNALA, 47283 Huron Street, Atlantic Mine, MI 49905, USA.

Kippis! A Literary Journal publishes high quality prose and poetic works regarding immigrant, diasporic, and ethnic topics. We are concerned with promoting the best writing by authors who live or have lived away from their cultures of origin, whether that is by recent migration of a few years or distant migration of several generations. Kippis!A Literary Journal accepts unsolicited manuscripts attached in Word via email to . A standard font such as Times New Roman is recommended. Short story, personal narrative and other prose submissions should not exceed 3,000 words. Poems should not exceed five pages. Simultaneous submissions are okay as long as Kippis! is notified immediately should a manuscript be accepted elsewhere.

Materials published in Kippis! may not be reprinted, in whole or in part, without the written permission of the copyright holder.

An earlier version of “A Rainy Night in Burma,” by Frank Kinikin appeared in his collection titled Letters to Jim. An earlier version of “Pulled Under, Set Afloat,” by Aoise Stratford, recently won the Philadelphia Writers Conference Literary Fiction Aware and was Honorable Mention in the Writer’s Digest Contest, Literary Short Fiction Division. “Universe Unites” by Faye Hirvi is corrected in this issue from Kippis! v. 1, no. 1.
