About Vision online services

We offer an online service for our patients so you can book your appointments and order your repeat prescriptions online at your convenience.

You will need to register with the practice to access this service, and once registered you will be given information that will enable you to create your username and password.

If you are interested in this service, please complete the attached form and return it to the reception, and they will provide you with details how to register.

Online appointment booking

Have the flexibility to book and cancel your appointments from home, at work or any location with internet access. You don’t need to queue at the practice, wait on the telephone and you can manage your appointments outside practice opening hours.

Request your repeat prescriptions online

Request your repeat prescriptions quickly online by logging into your account and simply ticking the appropriate boxes. You can review the progress of your repeat prescriptions and any message that the practice may have sent to you. Please note that it will still take 48 hours to process your request.

If you would like to register for the online and SMS service please complete the form below and return it to your practice in person, along with a valid form of identification, for example photo ID or your passport, birth certificate.

Agreement

  • I agree to the surgery communicating with me by Short Messaging Service (SMS or text) or via email. I understand that such communication is not secure and that the Surgery advises against its use and also, the communication will include personal information regarding my contact and treatment.
  • I absolve the Surgery of any liability arising from any unauthorized disclosure of confidential or personal information as a direct result of using the email address or mobile number provided on this form.
  • I confirm that the mobile number and email id theSurgery holds on my record is correct and it is my responsibility to notify them of any changes.
  • I agree to receive a reminder of my appointment and health check up by SMS and/or email.
  • I am aware that I can withdraw consent at any time by informing the Surgery in writing.

Once you are registered the practice will give you the information that will enable you to create a username and password.

Please Note:

  • When registering you should not use a shared email address. Example, if a husband and wife have separate accounts but use the same email, both will see all online appointment booking confirmations and reminders for both accounts.
  • This service will not be available during 2300 and 0300 hours.
  • The appointment service is currently available to only book routine appointments (2 weeks in advance) with the doctor.
  • In case of appointment cancellation, ensure that you cancel it online at least 1 hour before the appointment. Your access to the online service will be barred if you have 5 or more DNAs in three months.
  • You will receive a SMS text message reminder 1 day and an email notification 3 daysbefore your appointment.This is available only if you book your appointment online.
  • The repeat prescription service is currently available to only request active repeat prescription. Any extra medications can be requested in the text box provided while submitting your request.
  • Only in case there aren't any active prescriptions, you can email with a request for your prescription for processing. Note: Subject line should be “Prescription” and the message should contain your Name and Date of Birth.
  • Alerts related to your health check up will be sent to your mobile via SMS. Please note that replies to this will not be read/actioned. In case of emergencies, please ring NHS 111, else contact your surgery directly.
