About the Event:

Come join us for our 2013 Membership Drive and help protect the Appalachian Trail! Join us as we watch the filmAppalachian Impressions on the big screen. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear real stories from the people who have hiked the 2,180-mile Trail as well as those who volunteer to protect and maintain it. Prizes will be awarded throughout the event and attendees will learn about the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC)and how they can give back to the Trail. That’s where we need your help!

How You Can Help:

The success of this membership drive relies on you!Our goal is simple: to raise awareness of the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) and to gain the support of 2,180 new members to the ATC (one for each mile of the Trail). Every dollar raised will help preserve and manage the A.T.That is why we are looking for volunteers, like you, to participate in our A.T. Street Team Program. The more we spread the word, the more people can learn about and become apart of the Appalachian Trail experience!

Anyone can help and there is no settime commitment required. Efforts can be completed right at home.

All tools will be provided for you, including your own unique PROMO CODE that will allow your friends and family members to receive an additional $5.00 off this event. To receive your PROMO CODE please email ith either your “last name” or “Trail name” as the discount code. An email confirmation will be sent to you once the code has been programmed.

To show our appreciation, the ATC will provide gifts based on the number of attendees you bring in (using your PROMO CODE). The more people who attend, the better the gift!

About the Film:
Appalachian Impression is an epic story about hiking the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. The program takes you on a six-month, 2,180-mile journey along the most famous long-distance hiking trail in the world. Along the way, you'll meet hikers who have embarked on this trek, carrying everything they need on their backs. You'll hear their stories, and experience the thrills and challenges of daily life on the Trail. The program covers all fourteen states, the changing of the seasons, footwear, food, shelters, volunteer trail crews, and Leave No Trace Ethics.

THE APPALACHIAN TRAIL IS COMING TO THEATERS THIS FALL

Harpers Ferry, WV(<ENTER TODAY’S DATE>) – The film Appalachian Impressions will be hitting theaters this fall as part of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC)’s 2013 membership drive.

The film highlights the beauty and splendor of the Appalachian Trail. Appalachian Impressions takes viewers on a six-month journey of thrills and challenges in fourteen states on the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear true stories from the people that have hiked the 2,180-mile Trail as well as those who volunteer to protect and maintain it. Prizes such as water bottles, hats, and an ENO Hammock will also be awarded throughout the event.

“The Appalachian Trail Conservancy is excited to present this film on the big screen,” stated Javier Folgar, director of marketing and communications of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. “This event provides the public an excellent opportunity to learn more about the Appalachian Trail and how to get involved with the Conservancy through our membership and volunteer programs.”
