Pray for members of our Deanery currently visiting our link Diocese of Cueibet, South Sudan, for their safe travel and for even stronger bonds of fellowship between us. Pray for our Synod and for a clearer vision of our own shared witness across the Deanery.

For the Wiltshire Churches Together Forum planned for later this year to agree a new way of organising and working ecumenically across Wiltshire. For the discussions at Methodist Conference and General Synod this year about interchangeable ministry in our churches.

Give thanks for the life of our deanery. Pray for those who give their time and energy to serve at Deanery Synod. Pray that someone may come forward to take on the role of Secretary. Pray particularly for the Upper Wylie Benefice as they move into interregnum, for Revd Clifford Stride, Team Vicar, and the retired clergy who give so generously of their time, along with the churchwardens and PCCs. As we begin to explore together a deanery what it means for us to grow in our differing rural and urbancontexts, ask for the Holy Spirit to guide us and help us move forward with expectation and hope.

Pray for all retired clergy, those who serve as Lay Pastoral Assistants and the six new people from the Benefice to be licensed at the Cathedral at day of celebration for lay ministry on 22 April.

Pray for the community of Mere that it may be excited and fully involved in the plans to make the church more accessible and for the funding group to be inspired with good ideas. For Maiden Bradley in the challenges a small rural village faces, that they may always feel God’s blessing, and for the young families of West Knoyle as they work together.
