EXTRACT OF CLUB RULES - MAY 2011.
(The full club rules are set out in the Articles of Association dated March 2011.)
1. The club shall be called Didsbury Toc H Rugby Football Club Limited (The Club).
2. The Club will be affiliated to the Rugby Football Union and the IRB, subject to the requirements of charity law and the duties of the charity trustees.
3. The Club is a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee : Company Number 7556684 , Charity Number 1141919.
4. The colours of The Club shall be black and amber.
5. The Directors of The Club shall be The President (Chairman of the Board), The Hon Treasurer, The Hon Secretary, The Chair of Rugby, The Chair of Facilities, The Youth Secretary & Club Captain. Executive (Board) Meetings will be held on the first Monday of each month at 7.30pm (excluding Bank Holidays, when the meeting will be held the following Monday). The quorum for Executive Board Meetings shall be five directors including one of The President, The Secretary or The Treasurer.
6. There will be an Open Board Meeting of The Club each June, September, December & March, at 8pm, following the Executive (Board) Meeting. All Directors and Officers of the club, outlined in Rule 7, shall be entitled to attend.
7. The Officers of The Club shall be the Directors, referred to in Rule 5, along with the Past Presidents, Vice Presidents, Secretaries, Assistant Treasurers, Coordinators, Captains & Vice-Captains of all the senior teams and the accredited club representatives. All Directors and Officers shall be elected at each Annual General Meeting. The quorum for General Meetings is 20 voting members, present in person.
8. There shall be elected at each Annual General Meeting not more than twelve directors to form an Executive Board, which is entrusted with the management of The Club and shall have the powers of co-option. The Annual General Meeting will be held each year on a date determined by the Board, giving 14 days notice of such meetings to the club membership. The Annual General Meeting shall be held for the following purposes:
(a) to receive The Club’s accounts from the board.
(b) To receive a report on The Club’s activities since the last AGM from the board.
(c) To appoint auditors or independent examiners.
(d) To elect directors to the board.
(e) To elect all other Officers of the club.
(f) To transact any business which may be brought before it, having 14 days due notice of that business.
9. The President, or in his absence, another Board Director shall chair the Annual General Meeting.
10. Candidates for membership of the club must complete the appropriate Application Form and The Board must approve all such applications.
11. All Annual and Match Subscriptions will be set by the Board. Player’s Annual Subscriptions remaining unpaid at the end of November may render that player ineligible for selection. New playing members must pay the Annual Subscription within one month of their election to the club, otherwise they may render themselves ineligible for selection.
Bye Laws and Guidelines for Players
Players must report to their Captains by the agreed time or their places may be filled. It is particularly important for players to report on time for away games. The meeting time should be notified by the Captain in the previous week.
Players should notify Captains if they are unavailable. The information needs to reach the Selection Committee before it next meets.
Players who find that they are unable to play after being selected should contact the Team Secretary by Thursday. “Cry offs” after Thursday are difficult to cater for but are better than no “Cry offs” at all.
Players who fail to turn up must give their reasons to the Selection Committee if they wish to be selected for the following game.
With the exception of the 1st XV no player may be taken by a higher team after the official meeting time without the agreement of the Captain.
In the event of a Vice Captain playing on any other team than his own for four consecutive weeks the office shall be considered vacant and will be filled by the Executive Committee
Subscriptions are due before the end of November
New members should pay within one month of their election to the Club.
UNPAID SUBSCRIPTIONS COULD RENDER A PLAYER INELIGIBLE FOR SELECTION.

DISCIPLINARY
The club will pay the administration costs immediately to Lancashire CRFU that are imposed as a result of disciplinary procedures. The disciplinary committee can decide on a case-by-case basis if these administration charges should be passed on to the offending member in the form of a fine.
