Diagnostic Testing Referral Process FAQ

Q. What is Diagnostic Testing?

  1. This process entails a medical provider (e.g. psychiatrist, psychologist, neuropsychologist, or psycho-educational specialist) conducting intensive testing to determine if someone has a learning disability or Attention Deficit Hyper Activity Disorder (ADHD).After the testing, the medical provider writes a comprehensive report summarizing the results of the testing and may recommend learning strategies, resources, and accommodations.

Q. Does Stonehill College pay for diagnostic testing or provide testing on campus?

  1. No, Stonehill College does not pay for testing, nor does the College provide diagnostic testing on campus. However, the College does have a list of diagnostic providers in the Massachusetts Area that the Office of Disability Services or the Counseling and Testing Center can provide for you.

  1. Check out the College’s Diagnostic Provider List, and contact the diagnostic providers and ask them:
  • If they take your insurance?
