  1. How will Tanya react to Tommy and Hasan’s plan to have “no time” to meet Tanya? Will each keep his word (sein Wort halten)? How will Petra react when she discovers their plan? Will Christian cooperate with Tommy and Hasan or will he betray his friend and use it as an opportunity to get closer to Tanya?
  1. Will Tanya succeed in befriending Julia’s son Martin? What will Julia do to stop the two from becoming a couple?

  1. Will Julia accept Herr Kaiser’s offer of 1500 Euros rent (Miete) in September and 1700 Euros after that? Will Herr Kaiser keep his part of the deal or will he turn Café Julia into a night club?

Students will write a script (ein Drehbuch) in German with parts for Tanya, Petra, Hasan, and Christian. They may also add Julia, Tommy and Martin if desired.

Students will submit their Drehbuch typed and double-spaced (Times Roman 12-font) to the instructor byWednesday, December 17 . Ten points per day will be deducted from Drehbücher submitted after the deadline. Please do not forget to write the names of all group members on yourDrehbuch.

II. The Drehbücher will be graded based on creativity, vocabulary, accuracy of the language and grammar. The grade for the Drehbuch will represent 50% of the overall grade for the project.

III. The students will perform the corrected Drehbuch in front of the class at a later date to be determined by the instructor. Prior to performing their sketch, students will present a copy of their corrected Drehbuch to the instructor. They will also write all new vocabulary used in their skit on the board so that their classmates can better understand the skit. Students’ performances will be judged based on their preparedness, pronunciation, and fluency with which they deliver their lines. The performance will represent the remaining 50% of the overall project grade.
