DEPUTY MANAGER- NURTURING TALENT PROGRAMME

(Replacement of Aparna Choudhary, Deputy Manager)

JOB PURPOSE

Deputy Manager will be responsible for implementation of the Nurturing Talent Programme, a major CSR initiative of DLF Foundation. The programme aims to deliver quality education to underprivileged children through various educational initiatives. Under this initiative, we also run a special Nurturing Talent Programme for the most talented scholars by transferring them to good private English medium schools in their neighborhood. Thus, the programme not only extends scholarship but also undertakes constant monitoring, coaching and guidance to bring out the best in each scholar for a economically rewarding career. It also covers scholars in professional categories including MBBS, Engineering, Sports, Arts and Management. Under the scholarship scheme a total of 1200 scholars are being covered currently.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Professional Scholarship Programme:

Organise the outreach activities to recruit over 90 new professional scholars including the wards of DLF Employees.

Identify /revise MoUs with colleges and universities for recruiting scholars.

Secure new applications and conduct income and merit verification.

Form/organise Scholarship Selection Committee Meeting to select new 90 Scholars.

Disburse Scholarship in installments to over 190 scholars after due diligence/verification of permissible expenses.

Prepare and send periodic Communications to school scholars, parents and schools.

Follow up with scholars to collect their Performance Report

Organisevarious Talent Nurturing Activities & Events including Annual Professional Scholars Conclave - Manage Invitations, agenda setting, and arrangement of logistics.

Regularly update the Management Information System including custody of all files/ documents.

School Scholarship Programme:

Organise outreach activities to recruit over 90 new school scholars every year.

Identify /revise MoUs with selected schools for admitting scholars and ensure fulfillment of the terms of MoU.

Organise Common Entrance Test covering 500 potential students & Prepare Merit list.

Conduct income and merit verification of shortlisted scholars.

Facilitate the Interviews of short-listed scholars & Prepare the final Merit list.

Prepare and send periodic Communications to school scholars, parents and schools.

Process scholarship disbursals in multiple installments to over 802 school Scholars/wards of DLF Employee’s wards after due diligence/verification of permissible expenses spread through the year.

Assist in organizing of Winter and Summer Camps for School Scholars

Assist in organizing Annual School Scholars Conclave

Regularly update/Maintain the Management Information System including custody of all files/ documents.

Education Requirements

  • A post-graduate degree (or equivalent qualification) in Social Work (MSW), Rural Management, CSR or other related subject area will be preferred.

Relevant Experience

  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience working in CSR/Development Project Management with Corporate Foundations or Leading Non-profits, preferably in Education Sector.
