Objectives: Psychomotor: TSWBAT demonstrate the correct steps to shooting a bow 2 of 3 tries. (6.1.1)
Affective: TSWBAT participate together and interact socially. (6.6.2)
Cognitive: TSWBAT recognize the safety rules of archery when asked 90% of the time. (6.5.2)
Equipment/Material Needs: 14 bows, 6 ends of arrows, 3 targets,14 reciprocal checklists

LESSON FOCUS

Introduction/Set Induction: Today we will be playing tic tac toe and then filling out a checklist to make sure we are shooting correctly. You will be doing each of these activities with a partner. Before we get started with that we need to go over a few safety rules. (At this point I will ask the students for a few safety rules.) Go ahead and get a partner.

Archery Tic Tac Toe:
-on the targets is a tic tac toe pattern
-the students shoot one at a time back and forth with a partner
-the first student to hit 3 in a row (across, vertically, or diagonal) wins
-if each student hits the same spot on the tic tac toe pattern the square will go the student who hit said square first
Reciprocal assessment
-students will be given a checklist to fill out for a partner to make sure they are doing all steps necessary to SAFELY and successfully shoot a bow
-students will only shoot 3 arrows each for this activity to ensure that each student receives an opportunity

Closure: Who had fun with playing tic tac toe? Can anyone tell me why we used the checklist? We used it to make sure we are using all of the correct steps to shooting and being safe.
