Read This Before Submitting Registration!!!

PURPOSE/SCOPE/ARRANGEMENT: This manual providesuniform and chronologically assembled information to fire protection, support organizations, either military or civilian, whose duties are related directly or indirectly to the performance of aerospace emergency rescue and mishap response. The Scope and Arrangement of this manual is basically two-fold; (1) to provide General Information in Chapter 2, Hazardous Materials and Mishap Hazards in Chapter 3, and (2) to providespecific information for DoD, Civil Reserve Air Fleet, various US Government agencies including, FAA, NASA, NATO and other allied or submitted aircraft. With this in mind, chapter contents may change in order to allow the logical flow to continue.

-Chapter 1 provides general guidance including the recommended printing, if desired.

-Chapter 2 includes general aircraft characteristics with regard to entry and exit facilities; prevention of suffocation; removal of personnel from seats; types of safetying and hazards of ejection seats; and forcible entry.

-Chapter 3 has been expanded to include valuable information for primary and secondary responders, especially “Advanced Composites under fire, overhaul and disposal with correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment”.

-Chapters 4 through the remainder of the publication contains, as applicable to any of the given 400+ aircraft, the true body of work and heart of the publication.

IMPROVEMENTS: This publication is considered a “living document”,meaning it is continuously maintained through improvements, additions and modifications to the information it contains whether that information pertains to aircraft emergency rescue or mishap response.Starting in 1970, the TO has continually improved and expanded its information. Distribution has evolved from paper media,which ceased in 1996, to CD-ROM and then quickly to on-line availabilityoccurring in1999. In April 2006, the TO was reclassified as a sensitive document based on the information it contains under one cover, consequently the distribution and access became restricted requiring on-line registration by all users.

NOTE: At no time is a user permitted to place this information in the public domain as it has been deemed to be harmful to the nation’s interest by the USAF Security Information Agency.There are no exceptions to this policy! Accounts are tracked for all logins, downloads and logouts. Violators will be upchanneled and held accountable for their actions.

REGISTRATION PROCESS: The validation of the registration uses email confirmation as a security protocol. Allcustomers will use the email address of their official work location. No personal emails are authorized, especially Gmail, Hotmail, yahoo mail, etc. Registration is required including to agree with the Terms of Agreement (TOA). If the TOA is not selected, access will not be permitted. A Foreign Military Sales requirement was added for those foreign customers outside of NATO and its Partners. For foreign customers wanting access outside of international agreements, contact your embassy and make your request through this channel. After registration is completed, the Administrator will review the registration and send a validation link to the new user prompting the user to action. All accounts will be manually enabled by the Administrator once the user completes validation. There is no need to complete more than one registration because the customer feels the system is not responding. This merely means the account has to be manually enabled and only during regular business hours (7 AM – 4 PM Monday through Friday Central Standard Time).

DOWNLOAD PROCEDURES: (1) Go to the Download Files heading from the Main Screen and click on it. This brings up the screen of the files all customers can download. (2) Scroll up or down and locate the file you wish to download. Click on the small circleat the file’s left placing a small green colored dot in its center. (3) Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on the _Submit_ button. (4) You will now get a rectangular notice telling you information about the download session having no indicator as to how long the download will take. Click on the _OK_ button and the download will now begin along with a message telling you the download has begun. (5) Move your cursor to the bottom of the screen at the internet bar until your arrow shows the timing icon next to it or the upper left location barwill show a rotating circle. This indicates the download is in progress. (6) Once the download is completed, the first screen of the selected file will pop up into view. Save the file to your PC or a CD-ROM as desired.

ACCOUNT ADMINISTRATOR: The Administrator undertakes an in-depth review of all accountsat any given time due to the large number of customers. User account activity is recorded with each Logon, therefore accounts users found with no activity, a change of locations without notice, and incomplete registration information will be cause for account deletion action. All users are responsible for their own accounts and they are to report to the Administrator of their change of duty or job location.

ADVANCED COMPOSTIE MATERIAL INCIDENT RESPONSE COURSE:This course is located inside the website for your convenience and will be maintained and updated as information changes. The course was developed in 2005 through the cooperation of USAF Fire Emergency Services, University of Delaware and University of Maryland (UM). The course is taught at UM in their Fire Protection curriculum.
