Services held for Joseph Barnes, son of Mr & Mrs Ola Barnes, Jr. of Conde, South Dakota. He died Nov 26 1961, age 8, of cystic fibrosis. His paternal grandparents are Mr & Mrs Ola Barnes, Sr. of Delphos.

Rites held for Neva Haley Wilkins, 66, who died Dec 2. She was born Sept 25 1895. She was married Dec 12, 1959 to Wendell Wilkins, who proceeded her in death.
Funeral Services for Hugh Martin Hillhouse, 50 of Whittier and Tulare, CA, were held Nov 27th in Fresno, CA. His plane had crashed into a hill near Porterville. Surviving are his widow, Rhonda; his mother, Mae Hillhouse, a former Delphos resident; a son, Mike and a daughter, Carol; and a brother, Gail B Hill house. Mrs Mae Hillhouse is a cousin of B S Chance.
Kenneth Ballou had a birthday. Darlene Dewey had a birthday. Rupert Smith had a birthday. Mr & Mrs George Woods celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary Nov 30, 1961. The received a letter and gift package from the Heinz company of "57 Varieties" . Mr & Mrs Arthur Hay celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.
Mr & Mrs Clifford Chancy have been working on their house in town.
Nancy Murray has been absent because of the measles. Thomas Bussart enrolled Monday in 3rd grade. Judy Clark had her tonsils removed Thursday. Denise Shaffer, Douglas Jamison, and Robert Nace were out last week because of the flu. Patrick Bussart enrolled in 5th grade. Tim Bussart enrolled in 7th grade. With the loss of the Rose children, enrollment in the school is 134.
Graveside services were held for Frank Boalan, Hays, Nov 29th in MiltonvaleCemetery. Mrs Boalan was the former Anna Burbank.
