Christmas Production

The Christmas concert starring our infant children this week was absolutely marvellous! What talented children we have! The collection for Derian House Children’s Hospice raised£263, thank you all so much. Congratulations to all the staff and children for putting on such a lovely Nativity performance. Weloved it!

Carol Service

Our annual Carol Service takes place at 10am in St. Mary’s Church next Wednesday 21st December. We are very pleased to invite all our families,(including small children), to join us for the service. Please send in permission slips. We hope you will be able to come. We are holding a collection for the Penwortham food bank, but ask that you please send items to school on Monday 19th or Tuesday 20th December.

Class Parties

The children will be having their Christmas Parties next week and may come to school in their own party/play clothes on the day of their party. Please see below under ‘What’s on’ for the dates.

PTFA Christmas café

Wow! Thank you everyone for making the Café such a success last Friday, it was heart-warming to see so many of our families supporting school. We raised just over a massive £1200!! The following numbers are unclaimed raffle prizes :- 121,241 & 416

Our PTFA treasurer,(Mrs Emma Cook), needs a deputy to help her organise the PTFA finances. Please, please, please think about whether you could help in this area and let us know if you would be interested in helpingher with the treasurer duties.

Wednesday 25thJanuary - Tuesday 31st January - Scholastic (half price) Book Fair in the school hall

Save your Christmas money! We hope you will all try and make time at the end of school, (3.15pm until 4pm) from 25th January until 31st January to come and have a look at our book sale and support our school improvement work on reading. The books are all half price and all are beautiful quality. Any purchases you make mean the school can have new books as a commission. (If you feel you would like to buy a book – or indeed donate a good quality old book, for our library, we would be very grateful)

Wed 21stCarol Service at St Mary’s Church 10am approx. We will be collecting food items for Penwortham food bank at this service(Please could these items be delivered to school and not church as the food bank will be collecting from school.)

Party for all infants – Children may wear their own clothes

Thurs 22ndSchool closes at 2pm for Christmas Holiday. Please note, there is no CLASP after school club operating on that date.
