Job Title / Reprographics AssistantLine Manager / Teaching School Officer
Working Week / 32.5 hours per week (Mon to Fri, 8am to 3pm)
Weeks Worked / Term time only plus INSET Days
Holiday Working / 2 weeks
Pay Range / H3 Point 14: £16,646 + £841 fringe allowance FTE(Pro rata)
Actual Salary including fringe allowance: £13,758 per annum
Core Purpose
Delivering a reliable and efficient printing service for the whole school
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- General photocopying for the whole school
- Reporting any machine faults and arranging technicians to fix any faults on the11 photocopiers around the school
- Ordering parts and toners for the copiers
- Ordering all paper and supplies to keep the schools printing running to maximum efficiency
- Providing monthly accounts to the Finance Manager of photocopier usage for each individual/department to include photocopying on the 11 photocopiers around the school and paper allocation throughout the school
- Taking monthly readings and emailing the photocopier supplier
- Supplying all departments with individual photocopy PIN numbers with different maximum limits and updating these on the machines to ensure that the exact number of copies used for each individual and department recorded
- Negotiating the best printing costs for paper and materials for the school
- Offering alternative services e.g. laminating and ring binding
- Occasionally assist all departments with designing posters and signage throughout the school.

Concerts and Plays
Mock exam papers
New Year 7 Packs
Additional Responsibilities
- Occasional help with invigilating and setting up/starting of exams, especially in the Summer Term

Criminal Records Check – Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS)
All posts in schools are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; this means that all convictions must be declared, including those that would generally be regarded as ‘spent’. A disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) will be sought as part of the school’s pre-employment checks. The DBS will provide a report to you and the Local Authority on whether you have any criminal convictions, including cautions and bind-overs.

The post holder is required to contribute to and support the overall aims and ethos of the school. All staff are required to participate in training and other learning activities and in performance management and development as required by the school’s policies and practices.

Knowledge, Experience and Training
Essential:
Experience of ICT(Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat)
A methodical and well organised approach to work with good communication skills
Ability to follow job instructions with good attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines
Ability and self-motivation to work independently
Ability to work in a team and be part of the wider life and ethos of the school
Preferable:
Knowledge of Adobe InDesign
Previous experience of working in reprographics
Previous experience of working in a school environment
