DELHI HERITAGE SCHOOL / ROHINI / 2017-18
HOLIDAY HOMEWORK
CLASS – VIII
It is said that leisure is a pre-requisite to fulfilling one’s dreams and aspirations. The most sought after break comes with the much awaited summer vacation. Vacation not only provides ample free time to the students to re-energize and rejuvenate but also gives an opportunity to take up lots of creative work.
This is also the time to inculcate a sense of true discipline and values of love and respect in our children. As parents we must guide our children in managing their time during holidays. Do spend quality time with them and inculcate good habits in your child. For an all round development of the children, they must be encouraged to take up some interesting activities like reading, travelling, watching educative television channels or pursuing some hobbies during the holidays. Help your child make a planner in which both work and play are balanced. Take your child for a morning walk, encourage yoga, exercises and cycling.
The Holiday Homework has been designed to help the children keep in touch with subject related creativity. The homework should be taken up with sincerity as it adds to the personality of the child.
Please note the following with regard to the homework:
- Instructions related to the homework have been specified along with.
- Instead of using expensive decorative materials make use of material available at home like wool, mirrors, beads, bangles, matchsticks etc.
The summer vacation will start from Saturday, 13th May 2017 and the school will reopen on Monday, 3rd July 2017.
