Hold the Headteacher and Senior Leadership team to account against clear performance targets. / P / P

Set up appropriate staffing and financial arrangements and oversee the Academy’s work in relation to SEN. / P

Safeguarding / Decide whether to appoint a designated Director for Safeguarding Children or to retain as a full PDET Board of Directors task. / P

Carry out an annual review of Safeguarding Children and Child Protection policy and procedures and report to PDET. / P
Ensure that all staff undertake Safeguarding training at least annually and updates on a regular basis and read and sign ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’. / P
Appoint a Designated Safeguarding Lead and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead for the Academy and ensure that they are trained in accordance with Statutory requirements every two years and access other updates regularly (but at least annually).
