Election of Club Officers
At the November meeting we will elect our officers for 2005. The slate of officers for 2005 are:
John Goschke - DVSM president
Joe Vattilana - Treasurer
Dennis Levy - Contest Chairman.
Nominations were closed at the end of the October meeting. Since the candidates are unopposed, a voice vote will take place at the November meeting provided sufficient members are in attendance.
LAST MONTH
Attendance: 35 members & guests Raffle: $44.00
Dennis Sosna opened last month’s meeting at the usual time. The main item of business was the conclusion of nominations for club officers. Dennis Levy will run for the post of Contest Chairman. Brian Spruit and Jamie Makin have agreed to help out during some of the contests to learn the ropes. John Goschke and Joe Vattilana complete the slate. They are running for DVSM president and Treasurer respectively.
Joe Vattilana gave us an update on the club finances and dues status. Craig Bennet initiated a discussion on the high costs of kits – including those made with questionable labor practices in China. Tommy Kortman and others chimed in on the discussion – indicating that the kits were not always of the highest quality. Craig then conducted the raffle.
