Decluttering, Staging, Packing (materials supplied), Donations, Clean up, Coordination of: consignment sales, estate sales, furniture removal, metal/appliance/ electronics removal, junk removal, bins and dumpsters, storage/POD coordination. Informative motivational lectures also offered.

Ready the home to view, photograph and list. Create clean open, well organized and pleasing spaces. The decluttering can be divided into two phases to reduce clutter – the initial declutter to sell the home and a deeper purge post sale/pre-move.

Basic rate is $45.00 per hour plus hst. This includes on site as well as off site coordination time.

1)  Decluttering, Sorting, Packing of Possessions to enhance property viewings. Staging: Using what exists on site to best effect. Perfect for realtor or home services clients with smaller budgets and tight deadline. Will also work with Realtor’s Stagers who are performing much larger stages including reno; taking care of a myriad of details on site including physical relocation of boxes, and many items not desired in the viewing spaces. Offering, intelligent, aesthetic, sympathetic, and understanding perspective and advice to maintain momentum, so the realtor can maintain their good client relationships.

2)  Sell/Donate: Explore Consignment or donation options for unwanted furniture and décor items. Example. Millionaire’s daughter in Oakville or Zoey’s in Burlington. Estate sales firms available, both on site and on line optionssuch as Rapid-Sell.ca. Obtain top dollar for jewelry, gold and silver items for client. Antique, décor stores are also an avenue to sell. Decluttering.ca can source them for the client. Sell for client via Classified listings such as Kijiji and Craigslist. Decluttering.ca manages the postings and fielding of all inquiries to find the best and safest taker. Hourly rates apply or a percentage of sale (25%). Arranges and takes away Donations personally.

3)  Shipping: Arrange specialized shippers for out of town.

4)  Estate RE: Legal situations: Photograph, catalog for detail reference, pack: Decluttering.ca works with Real Estate lawyers (executors), divorce lawyers etc. to clear properties and ensure clear indication of what possessions are on site and what is designated for whom; photograph, catalog and pack up from the viewing spaces to sell the home effectively. Coordinate storage and any needed service.

5)  Move/Relocation Management: Recommend Movers, Pack Items for new home: Pack items for moving. Materials supplied at cost. Unpack and set up clients on other side including Organizational help and removal of materials for clients. (old boxes, packing materials, junk etc.) Mover price not included.

6)  Trash disposal: Coordinates trash disposal via junk removal companies. 1 hour coordination applies.

7)  Storage (Self) off site or in PODS (Portables): Arrange storage options at facilities at location of choice for items to be removed for staging or for later consideration or disposal by family. Another storage option are trailers delivered to the home and packed up for storage later delivery to new location.

Fees: $45.00/hr. plus hst. A preferred realtor, frequent client or senior rate ca be offered for frequent use agents. Only time and materials used are charged for. Session lengths are discussed in advance. Payment is requested at end of each day’s work, upon receipt of invoice. Payable to “Decluttering.ca” or “Stephen Ilott” via cheque, cash, Paypal or E-transfers.

Packages available:

Package #1: "Do it Together D.I.T." $125.00 plus hst. 3 hour introductory package. Get the process started sorting, room redesign and placement, packing, donating, coordination of trash, storage, selling assitance.

Package #2: Six hours: $250.00 plus hst. Materials extra. Great for pre-staging, home sellers, pre-reno home owners, storage prep.

Package #3: Team. $550.00 plus hst. Two organizers for six hours: Sorting, organizing, packing, decluttering, staging, donations. Includes donating of small items requested. Coordination of storage, trash/furniture removal and other serices needed. Extra services priced upon need and amount. Packing materials as needed extra.
