December eVA Changes – go live 12/14/12

eMall

New Contract Filter Signer Rule – a new tool that will allow setup of special rules for individuals or groups of individuals to skip specific approval steps if they are buying from an existing Contract. This can be setup for specific contracts or broadly across multiple contracts and it can be set at specific dollar values. Example use: for staff buying from the DPS Statewide Office Supply contract , do not include the Purchasing Office approval step if the dollar value is below $5,000.

Contact your DPS Account Executive if you are interested in learning more about this new feature.

Browsers

Firefox & Chrome: eVA now supports browser versions up to Firefox 16.x and Chrome 23.x on both the buyer and vendor sides.

Quick Quote

Copy Attachments: when copying a Quick Quote request (Copy, Cancel/Reissue, and No Award/Reissue) users will now be able to also copy attachments from the original request and select which ones to copy to the new request.

Set-Aside for Small Business: the text “Set-Aside for Small Business” will now display below the title of the Quick Quote on the VBO public posting page and on the requests themselves. This text was previously displayed with the Quick Quote request title which made the title more difficult to read especially on the eVA Mobile 4 Business app.

Future Publish Date: users now have the option to specify when their Quick Quote request will be published/issued. This optional feature is selected using a new checkbox on the screen which will then prompt the user for a publish date and time. When used the Quick Quote request will show in a “Submitted” status until the specified date/time pass. Quick Quote requests in the “Submitted” status can be edited up until the publish date/time.

VBO Buyer

Set-Aside Checkbox: users can now use a checkbox to indicate that their solicitation is “Set-Aside for Small Business” instead of making this text part of the title of their solicitation posting. Selecting the checkbox will cause the system to display the “Set-Aside for Small Business” text just below the solicitation title on the VBO posting.

VBO Solicitation/QQ Public List

Advanced Search: a new checkbox search option for Set-Asides will make it easier for vendors to find set-aside solicitations. Previously vendors had to know to use the Keyword Search field to and type in the words “Set-Aside” to find these solicitations.

Search Buttons: the text on the two action buttons will now say “Search” and “Clear”. Previously the text had been “Go” and “Clear Search”. We believe this will be more understandable for our vendors and the public.
