Dear Temple Micah Members and Friends

August, 2012

Dear Temple Micah Members and Friends:

I hope this letter finds you and your families well and enjoying the summer. But it is already that time to again welcome you to Temple Micah’s High Holiday services, the 44th year since 1969, to be held at the historic Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville. Our mission is to provide a warm, comfortable atmosphere where individuals and families of varied Jewish backgrounds feel welcome and can realize their own personal connection to Judaism without financial burden. We continue to strive to fulfill that mission .

Of course, this year, as many of you already know, Temple Micah also welcomes Rabbi Vicki Seren Tuckman as our new religious leader, only the third in 44 years. Rabbi Tuckman, a 2003 graduate of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati, is a local resident of Princeton along with her husband

and 3 children. Some of you may have already had the pleasure of attending her guest-rabbi Shabbat service this spring at Temple Micah. We are privileged and excited to have such a marvelous individual to lead our congregation and religious school.

As always, you will find our membership form on the reverse side of this letter. As is stressed every year, our modest membership dues do not come close to meeting our expenses. Since we do not require tickets for High Holiday services, we depend heavily on additional contributions from both members and non-members to support our religious, educational, and cultural offerings.

We are one of the last congregations in the area to be able to provide so much for so little because we have been blessed with the hard work of dedicated volunteers and board members, as well as the gracious hospitality and fellowship of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville. As members of the church’s Jewish community it is crucial to continuously support the church as much as possible – please be generous in showing your appreciation of the generosity of our PCOL friends.

Please complete the form on the reverse side and return it with your check to the above address. Be sure to indicate any special interests you may have in Temple Micah programs and activities. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, September 16th on Erev Rosh Hashana.

Sincerely,

Mary Ehrlich Kuller

Board President
