2016 Hogs & DogsFamily Festival

Dear West RichlandResident,

The West Richland Chamber of Commerce annual Hogs and Dogs event will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016,from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., at the Bombing Range Road Sports Complex. The Chamber is expecting another record breaking year with over 4,000 motorcycles, 200 cars,and more than 10,000 people attending this year’s event. The following information about the event is provided as a courtesy to West Richland residents.

On Thursday, June 16th between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., residents should expect congestion and moderate to severe delays on Bombing Range Road, between Paradise Way and Keene Road. Residents not attending Hogs & Dogs are encouraged to avoid Bombing Range Road and utilize Paradise Way, SouthHighlands Blvd, Belmont Blvd, and Keene Road. As part of the traffic control plan for the event, the City of West Richland will be closing the following streets to all traffic on Thursday, June 16th, from approximately noon to 10:00 p.m.:

1)Holly Way, between Bombing Range Road and Iris Street. Traffic will be detoured to Mt Adams View Drive and Bombing Range Road intersection. Two flaggers will be stationed at this intersection to direct traffic between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

2)Northlake Drive, at the intersection of Bombing Range Road. Residents on Northlake Drive will need to utilize East Lattin Road, Fire Mtn Road, or S. 38th Ave to access their homes.

3)Victoria Ct. and Sunglow Ct. will be closed to all traffic except for residents living in these cul-de-sacs.

If you are riding a motorcycle to Hogs & Dogs, all motorcycles enter via the north end of the Sports Complex parking lot that fronts Bombing Range Road.

The City is recommending that residentswho are not riding a motorcycle to Hogs & Dogs utilize the free shuttle buses provided by the ARC. Hogs and Dogs attendees will be able to park at Enterprise Middle School and Wiley Elementary School, and then ride the handicap accessible shuttle bus to and from Hogs and Dogs free of charge. The shuttle buses will be operating continuously between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

If you are walking to Hogs & Dogs, the only safe location to cross Bombing Range Road will be at the intersection of Northlake Drive and Bombing Range Road.Two flaggers will be stationed at this intersection to stop traffic and allow pedestrians tosafely cross Bombing Range Road.

If you are driving to Hogs & Dogs, general parking is available in the back parking lot that can only be accessed off of Mt Adams View Drive behind the fire station. Parking is limited and the general parking lot usually fills up before 6:30p.m.Handicap parking will be available in the parking lot that fronts Bombing Range Road (access the handicap parking via the north end – same entrance as for the motorcycles).
