Academy Newsletter No 2 Monday 14th July 2014
Dear Players and Parents,
I hope everyone enjoyed their first sessions back last week and are looking forward to an exciting few weeks ahead including games against Tranmere Rovers and the Keele Cup.
Subs
This evening we require payment of subs for the new season.
Subs for the season is £160 for all players.
Majority of players paid £15 signing on fee back in May and then only owe £145 for the year.
The subs for all under 19s though is £200 for the year due to the extra third session a week as well as this season the youth team having games on Saturday and Sunday.
A reminder that this fee is non refundable and whether a player is released by the academy, moves to a professional club, transfers to another welsh academy or leaves on his own accord this is a non refundable payment.
Subs must be paid this evening on Monday 14th July at training.
If paying by cheque this must be made payable to Connah’s Quay Academy.
Macron Store
If any items ever need replacing for any players over the season this should now be done on the new online club shop which can be found on the Macron Store Wrexham website:

We have had a lot of interest from parents with regard to coats and other items for their own personal use. This shop is for all fans, parents and players and a number of items are available for purchase.
New Academy Players Kit Ordering Details
Full information on how to order academy kit bundle for all new academy players for new 2014-2015 season.
New players needing kit packs are requested to follow this procedure to order the kit from Macron Store Wrexham.
Before ordering it is imperative that you have knowledge of the sizes you require for the bundle. It is recommended you try teammates kit on during training to acquire this information, alternatively you can make a appointment at the store to call in and size up between the hours of 10am - 4pm Monday-Friday
Once your confident of your players' sizes, please email with your order.
On receipt of the order, Macron will issue an invoice with an easy pay now facility built into the invoice.
When the order is complete Macron will contact you about collection.
Team Fixtures
All arranged fixtures to date have been added to each teams section of the website. As we have always stated our aim is to provide a game a week minimum for all sides from the first week of September. For most sides we have already arranged a game a week for the whole up and coming season.
We do have a number of pre season games for all sides over the next two months and all sides are asked to keep an update on the website regularly and will be informed by coaches on a weekly basis.
Crowd Barriers at training
Something we will continue this season will be the use of a crowd barrier system for all trainings. This is for all parents and anyone watching academy sessions. Parents are reminded they can not go past these markers or go around and watch sessions from the side.
Keele International Tournament
We will be receiving all the fixtures for our sides by Wednesday this week.
These will be immediately placed on our club website once we have them.
Fixtures vs Tranmere Rovers
We have also confirmed games against Trarnmere Rovers on Saturday 26th July and Sunday 27th July.
The under 10 and 11 fixtures will take place at the Deeside Stadium on the Saturday 26th July prior to the first team friendly with Tranmere which should be a great experience for all involved.
All remaining U8, U9 and U12 – U16 sides will play Tranmere the following day with the 8s, 9s, 12s, 13s and 14s playing at home with the 15s and 16s travelling away.
Again more details to be announced closer the date with regard to these.
Pre Season Meeting
This week on Wednesday 16th July we will be holding a meeting for all players and parents in preparations for the new academy season.
The evening will take place at Deeside College Lecture Hall and will run over the following times:
17:30-19:00 – U8, U9, U10, U11
19:00-20:15 – U12, U13, U14, U15, U16
20:15-21:30 – U18/U19/Scholars
The evening will be open for all players and parents and vital all attend.
The evening will include all key information for the up coming season as well as exciting additions and changes to the academy programme which will highlight our continued strive to improve and progress every season.
Coerver Coaching Day 2014
Following last years successful Coerver coaching day which saw Adidas staff come to the Deeside Stadium we can confirm they will be returning this Summer!
Along as sessions with our sides they also put on a coach education evening with our staff.
Coerver is a huge part of our academy programme at all age groups and is our main focus on sessions every Thursday at Deeside Leisure Centre once the season begins.
The event will take place on Thursday 28th August. More details will also be available at the end of the week.
This years theme is Germany – Fast, Break, Attack which following Germany being crowned World Champions last night should be fantastic sessions for all.
