February 1, 2018

Dear Parents of Religious Education,

Happy February to you all! I am glad to be writing to you following a month of inclement weather. It is my hope that we have a much calmer February ahead of us.

Last month, students were actively working hard in building their connection to Christ. Students were busy memorizing prayers, investigating their faith, and making the Word real in their own lives.

We also celebrated with our students the sacrament of Reconciliation! Congratulations to all students and families who received this sacrament for the first time. It is my hope that students will continue to go to confessions throughout the course of their lives. All students in our program will have the opportunity for confessions again during the Lenten season.

Please take note of the following for this month.

There will be classes on February 4th, 11th, and 25th. There is no class Sunday, February 19th.

The Children’s Mass for the month takes place this Sunday, February 4th at 11 a.m. All are invited to attend.

On Sunday, February 25th all students should report directly to their classrooms as there will be a blood drive occurring in the school gymnasium. Further information regarding the blood drive will be sent later this month. However, we would ask that you please consider donating blood. Parents are able to walk in on this day to donate and can do so before or after dropping their children off for the program.

Finally, as we are only a few months away from beginning registration for next year, I would remind all parents with outstanding statements to please pay as soon as possible. We cannot accept a student for next year whose family has not fulfilled this year’s commitments. Any family who has not yet paid or made arrangements to pay may be in danger of having their child removed from the program before the year’s end. Mrs. Arinez will begin calling families in the next two weeks who are behind on payments.

I thank you for your continued support of our program.

Sincerely,

Mr. Christopher Siegfried-Coordinator
