Dear Parents of Lower School Graduating Students:
In celebration of graduation, we have planned a trip to Brownstone Exploration & Discovery Park in Portland CT. Details of the trip are noted below:

Times and Means of Transportation
Departure: 8:45 a.m. (Students MUST be at Eagle Hill by 8:30 a.m.)
Return to Eagle Hill: 6 p.m.
Students and staff will be transported by a coach bus from Dattco.
Trip Cost $80 includes entry to the park, transportation, and lunch
Lunch A cookout will be provided at the park and is included in the cost of the trip
Activities at the Park
Students and staff will have an Adventure Sports Pass, which includes swimming, hiking, access to inflatable toys, cliff jumping, zip lines, waterslides, water challenge course, and rock climbing.
What to Wear and Bring
We advise students to wear their bathing suit underneath their clothing.
Bring a change of clothes for the end of the day.
Wear water shoes or old sneakers. DO NOT WEAR FLIP FLOPS!
Wear or bring sunscreen.
Snacks are allowed, but NO GLASS BOTTLES, please.
What NOT to Bring
Do NOT bring or wear jewelry. These items can get lost in the water.
Do NOT bring any glass items.
Important Miscellaneous Information
Your child may bring some spending money, as the park does have a snack bar and souvenir shop. Students can also rent water equipment that is not included in the cost of the trip. * Rentals for kayaks, canoes, and water scooters range from $7 to $17, depending on the water equipment and the time rental.
Students should NOT bring laptops, even for the bus. If your child brings an electronic device such as an iPod, he or she will have to leave it on the bus and Eagle Hill will NOT be responsible for it.
Dorm students may stay in the dormitory on Sunday, June 5, but not after the trip on Monday, June 6.

Friday, May 13
If your child is able to attend this trip, please send a check payable to Eagle Hill School and all necessary forms (attached). The forms include a permission slip and a waiver for Brownstone. These should be sent to the attention of Renata Papone in the Eagle Hill Business Office no later than Friday, May 13. Please mail to:

In addition, if your child takes medication between the hours of 4-6:30 p.m., please contact our nurse, Liz Reid, and bring in the medication by May 13.

An Additional Note for Lower School Graduates about End of the Year Proceedings:
•Lower School Graduation is Wednesday, June 8: More information will be forthcoming.
•School after Graduation: Lower School graduates are permitted to attend school after graduation. They also are invited to attend the school Beach Day on Thursday, June 9.
