Dear Parents/Guardians, 01/04/16

Just a quick note to keep you all informed. The new calendar is up on our website these dates are tentative at this point but should be solid enough for people to make initial plans around.

I would like to introduce a new member of the coaching staff to you. His name is Matt Elisara, Matt has a ton of playing and coaching experience, he is also a science teacher at Timberline. This gives us another coach on campus. Matt will be working with the defensive line and helping coach Williams in the weight room, stop by and welcome him to Blazer Football.

Weights begin today after school on January 4th 2:15-3:15 Mondays through Thursday. Coach Williams is in charge of the weight program. Players in another sport are excused and I wish them good luck in their respective sports. Football players not participating in another sport should attend weights starting on January 4th. I will stop by as often as I can, however I work at Nisqually Middle School and cannot get out until 3pm at the earliest.

Timberline has a school wide APX clinic at the weight room on January 18th (MLK Day No School). Clinic hours are 8am-3pm. The Football team started APX at Timberline with great results. This is a great team building experience. Clinic covers weight training, nutrition, flexibility and a lot more! I pay half the cost for football players so the cost to players is $25 other sports pay more. Forms should be coming my way today. Once I get them we will get them out to players.

Players should come to the clinic in workout cloths and gym shoes. They should also bring a lunch and their drink shaker if they have one.

I would like to meet with volunteer parents in February to plan out our Passing League Tournament and our Youth Football Camp. Further information on those will be coming.

Lastly, I hope you all had an enjoyable holidays with family and friends. Thank you all for your support.
