Dear Local Business Owner:
The ASNCI which includes the counties of La Porte, Starke, Marshall and Saint Joseph is holding their annual Walk-A-Thon event. There are many local businesses taking an active role this year in the fund raising efforts. Our goal this year is to raise $20,000 dollars and recruit 700 walkers to participate in the 14th Annual Autism Awareness Walk-A-Thon April 21, 2018. The monies raised this year will again help provide a FREE summer day camp for children with autism who live right here in our local communities, along with funding autism research across the country and within our state, providing scholarships to autistic students furthering their education, providing monthly Fun Nights for our teens to socialize in the community, our parent support groups, the Breakfast with Santa morning in December, and our Halloween Party and Autism Social for students with autism and their families.
HOW CAN YOU HELP? SPONSOR A CHILD! It costs approximately $300 for a child to spend a 5 day session at the camp. By sponsoring one of our campers you can help give a local child a summer they’ll never forget.
We invite you and your company to join us at this year’s Walk-A-Thon. If you are unable to join us that day, please consider making a charitable donation. All contributions $100-$299 will get your company or team name listed on the back of the Walkathon t-shirts. $300-$499 will have your company or team name highlighted on the back of the t-shirts. Any company or team contributing $500 and above will get their Logo placed on the top back of our Walkathon t-shirts.
Please make all checks payable to ASNCI. Attached is a form for you to fill out and send along with your donation. If you would like, we can pick up your contribution by calling 219-362-9448. If your company is interested in forming a Team to come and participate in the Walkathon, please call us for more information. To be a sponsor, we ask that all donations are in by April 9, 2018.
