November Newsletter
Dear Families,
November will be a busy month as usual for us! We will be studying about the changing leaves, scarecrows and Thanksgiving!
Please try to gather some pretty leaves for us to do projects with in class! We have several projects that we are planning that involve leaves!
We will have “Reading Day” on Tuesday November 30th. It will begin at 12:00 p.m. The idea is for someone to come and read to your child at school. The book that your child likes the best will be his/hers to keep!
We are planning to have a family Thanksgiving lunch at school. The cost will be $5 for each adult who would like to attend. Feel free to ask anyone who would like to help celebrate Thanksgiving with your child. The date for this event will be November 23rd at 11:00 a.m. Money will be due by Friday November 19th.
We will have Thanksgiving break on November 24-28th. I hope everyone will have a nice relaxing holiday!
Our family homework project will be “ disguise the turkey” which is attached. You and your child will work together to dress the turkey so he won’t be recognized and eaten for Thanksgiving dinner !
Items needed for upcoming projects:
Pretty fall leaves
Small and medium pinecones
Brown paper grocery sacks
Children’s colorful socks
Toilet paper tubes
Used light bulbs—please give these directly to me so the kids will not break them!
I would like to say a special “Thank you” to everyone who sent treats or helped with the Pirate/ Princess party! Also, I would like to thank all of you who sent in items for the class basket!
Our basket is definitely the best now!!!
Don’t forget that the Graysville Fall Festival is this Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This is a very important fundraiser for the school so please come and support Graysville.
Thanks
Mrs. Maxann
