Dear Families,
You may be aware that we recently had our AGM on Wednesday 28th of November 2012. At the AGM we adopted a new constitution for our association which is in line with network OOSH guidelines.
We are run as an Incorporated Association which means we are run and managed by parents of the Centre. As part of the new constitution all families using the centre in 2013 will be required to be a member of the association. Membership cost is $2 and must accompany a membership application prior to commencing care in 2013. In future years the membership applications will be attached to the enrolment form. As part of this membership you have voting rights at meetings, however you are not obliged to attend meetings.
We have attached some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s). If you have any further questions at all please don’t hesitate to talk to the centre co-ordinator or the committee .
We look forward to seeing you in 2013
Regards

FAQ’s
Now that I have to pay $2 do I have to attend meetings?
No the $2 doesn’t mean you have to attend meetings, however if you do attend meetings you will have a right to vote on any matters arising.
Can’t I just have my $2 added to my account?
Membership application fees are required to be kept and receipted separately from enrolment and attendance fees. Therefore your $2 cash payment must be paid with the membership application form prior to your child attending the centre in 2013
Can 2 people be members for the 1 child enrolled?
Yes – you can have a dual membership which would be 2 parents/guardians for the 1 enrolment and this would still be a $2 fee - this means you would have 1 vote at a meeting if you wish to vote on any matters.
I don’t have time to attend meetings and don’t want a say at meetings – do I still have to pay?
Yes all enrolments from now on will need to be members to attend our centre. This does not mean you have to do anything else other than pay your $2 and you do not have to have any extra involvement in the centre.
When are the meetings?
The general meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of the Month at 6:30pm at the centre (except school holidays) Childcare and dinner are provided. We also have our AGM in November each year.
