Responsibilities include the end-to-end Management of IT developed solutions for DCI client applications. Focusing on the tools, templates, processes and procedures as defined by DCI, management of each project is structured and delivery of applications is achieved on time and within budget.

Project Management duties include: Budget, Scope, Time, Resource, Risk, Procurement, Quality, Configuration and Communication Management.

Clients include:

Daimler Chrysler, where Dean managed a team of 18 IT developers and engineers focused on the development and support of DaimlerChryslers Mopar parts distribution systems for their dealerships.

Handleman Corporation, where Dean worked with another DCI Manager to produce a tool to support the Project Management Office and IT development team in supplying Project Management Processes, Procedures and Templates.

Payroll One, where Dean managed a team of DCI and Payroll 1 personnel in the Development, Testing and Deployment of a WEB based Payroll application.

Major Projects include –

  • Enterprise wide Y2K readiness – Responsible for managing the readiness of all Kmart applications and hardware across the entire enterprise including the headquarters, Distribution Centers, 2400 stores and overseas offices. Reporting directly to the CIO and CEO of the company.
  • Opening/Closing of Distribution Centers – Responsible for the overall management of opening and closing Kmart Distribution Centers. This project includes defining and executing the tasks needed by the Information Technology, Merchandising, and Distribution Center personnel. Reporting directly to the CIO of the company.
