Parents/Guardians

We would like parents to stay on-site to watch the activities. However, it helps us manage the day and the children’s safety better if you could please bear in mind the following points:

  1. Please can you clearly wear the name label/badge given to you so we can identify you as a parent/guardian.
  1. Please don’t interrupt the activities once they are taking place as it can take attention away from the children and affect safety.
  1. Please do not enter the children’s changing rooms/toilet area whilst groups are in there.
  1. During breaks including lunchtime, please do not take your child(ren) off-site.
  1. We would prefer it if you don’t take photographs but if you need to please ensure they only feature your child(ren).
  1. Please ensure you have signed your child(ren) out before heading off at the end of the day. (Please do not just tell a member of staff you are leaving, we do require you to sign them out).

Donations

BID Services will endeavour to find funding to develop and maintain a programme of activities, donations would be gratefully accepted and will assist in ensuring the longevity of the Deaf Sports Project/Youth Service which will in turn have a positive impact on the lives of young deaf people.

About Birmingham Deaf Sports Project

BID Services, with a number of partners, is running a Deaf Sports Project for deaf youngsters aged between 8 to 25 years. The project has been designed to promote sports and allow deaf youngsters to try them out. This will be an action packed programme for all levels of ability and the activities will be split into age groups where appropriate.

There will be regular activities at different times. Some activities will be based at suitable sporting venues such as the NIA; some will be at the Deaf Cultural Centre or at an alternative venue in Birmingham or outdoors. Qualified coaches will be appointed and there may be potential for individuals to participate in tournaments.
