TRIBUTE TO OUTSTANDING WOMEN
OBJECTIVE: To recognize and honor women from the Coulee Region who have demonstrated qualities of outstanding leadership and excellence in their professional and personal endeavors, in alignment with the mission of YWCA La Crosse.
Mission: YWCA La Crosse is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
The YWCA La Crosse Selection Committee will consider Outstanding Women nominations from individuals, corporations, non-profit agencies, public/private agencies and departments.
AWARD CRITERIA:
· The candidate has fostered the empowerment of women and/or assisted in the elimination or reduction of racism.
· The candidate has served as a role model and/or mentor to women and/or people of color in the community.
· The candidate has exhibited and demonstrated qualities of leadership, teamwork, integrity, dedication, and motivation within her profession and/or community.
· The candidate demonstrates sustained excellence, accomplishment, and creativity in the sphere of her chosen profession and/or volunteer service.
· The candidate has exhibited and demonstrated qualities of teamwork and willingness to share her
own skills and expertise in the accomplishment of organizational goals.
· The candidate has demonstrated a balanced personal life that illustrates her ability to relax and enjoy life.

* All recipients are expected to give a 3-4 minute acceptance speech at the awards dinner on November 9, 2017. Each Outstanding Woman award recipient will receive ONE complimentary ticket to the event for herself plus ONE ticket for a guest. (Tickets for additional attendees may be purchased by the RSVP deadline of Wednesday, Nov. 1.) Please note: Award recipients are seated at the head table. Their families and other supporters will be seated at another table(s), and we will do our best to accommodate seating requests.
