The eno Stylus with PolyVision 4321 USB Bluetooth Receiver, fails to connect After Initial Pairing.

SYMPTOMS: User reports pairing, calibrating and working with the Stylus; but fails after rebooting the computer.

Here are the steps to get the Bluetooth radio to work.

·  Set the Bluetooth Support Service to start automatically.

o  go to Control Panel à Administrative tools à Services.

o  Double click on “Bluetooth Support Service”.

o  Set “Startup Type” to “Automatic”.

o  Click on “Apply” and then “OK”

·  In the Device Manager, for the Generic Bluetooth Radio, Open properties à power management, uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.”

·  With this checked the system will not actually turn it off, but rather reduce power to the point where it would will drop the connection after a short period of time.

NOTE: If the Bluetooth receiver is moved to a different USB port, this will have to be re-done for that port!!

·  In the control panel, Power options, disable selective suspend.

o  This prevents Windows from turning off USB devices.

o  This is found embedded in the power options.

o  To get there do the following, open the control panel.

1.  Go to Power Options and click on “Change Plan Settings”.

3.Click on “Change advanced Power settings”

4.Select USB Settings à USB Selective Suspend Setting and change to disabled

·  Disabled win 7 Tablet PC feature. (only if there is no RMEasiteach or Quizdom)

o  On a machine that is not a Tablet PC, this option will fight the PolyVision driver for control of the stylus causing some delays.
